Golden Pearl Modelling was a venture started by 4 indigenous students in Kalgoorlie. They venture ran modelling workshops for young people in the community on a weekly basis and after 8 weeks put on a Fashion Parade to showcase the young models progress. The Golden Pearl Modelling team also attended the First Nations Economic Opportunities Conference in Sydney in July 2006 where they met the Governor General.
